A small home in the woods

I met these clients at The Mountain Home Show. They wanted a well built home that would fit their property, their needs, and their budget. Their budget was very tight. They also had done a lot of research preparing for this project. They gave me many pages of specifications and photographs of what they wanted for their home. They were also very concerned that the home would be built correctly, since they live in Florida and could not be here during the construction.

I worked hard to get everything they wanted into a plan they could afford. But it would not all fit. We had to eliminate the basement.

After the plan was completed, we made arangements for me to inspect the construction regularly. I was concerned how the builder would feel about this, but he was glad to have me check the house regularly. By catching problems early, the project progressed more smoothly, saving time and money. I was able to catch several problems that might have cause serious problems later.
